Market Research Project Manager

Longitude is recruiting a Market Research Project Manager to support our fast-growing B2B survey business. Reporting to the Research Operations Manager, you will help to manage our relationships with a growing ecosystem of fieldwork partners and scripting vendors, while working closely with internal colleagues across Sales, Research, Editorial and Project Management.

With many projects running simultaneously to tight timelines, you will need to have excellent communication skills, be highly organized with strong attention to detail, and be capable of prioritizing projects.

Overview of the role

This role is suited to someone who has worked in operational research project management for a minimum of 12 months (one year) – preferably someone who is at the beginning of their career and wants to expand their knowledge/skills in the research sector.

You have a clear understanding of managing projects that use both quantitative and qualitative methods and are strong in vendor management, sampling strategies, survey recruitment, and fieldwork and data management. You thrive on collaborating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure that projects are successful.

Attention to detail is a fundamental part of this role – from scrutinizing survey links and data throughout the fieldwork period to ensuring that there is clear alignment between sample quotas and actual results.

You will play an integral part in our proposal process, so you need to be commercially astute when it comes to costing fieldwork. You will also be expected to advise on best practice when it comes to fieldwork, helping develop research that delivers on our clients’ briefs and budgets.
In addition, the Market Research Project Manager will have strong experience in research vendor management, including in relation to the procurement of research services and samples.

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate will have:
• A minimum of 12 months’ experience of project managing/overseeing all aspects of survey projects:
o Project costing and timeline management
o Questionnaire review
o Scripting and link checking
o Sample and quota design
o Fieldwork launch and data checks
o Fieldwork management and reporting
o Invoicing and project debriefs.
o Survey recruitment
• Solid research vendor management experience across multiple markets
• Good knowledge of B2B panels and networks to ensure and enforce data quality and integrity
• Clear understanding of various research methodologies, with a particular focus on CAWI and CATI fieldwork
• Excellent time-management and multitasking skills
• Commercially astute
• Client handling
• Strong attention to detail
• Familiarity with survey scripting and data reporting platforms (e.g. Decipher and Confirmit).
