We are looking to recruit two skilled, passionate and highly motivated Junior Sales Executives to join our dynamic, fast-growing team. Inside sales is a very exciting part of the Longitude business, and over the past few years has shown real value in helping our sales team to reach and engage with new clients.  As a result of this success, we are expanding this team and are now looking to invest in individuals that have the appropriate skills, drive and behaviour to help us grow our inside sales function to new heights.

Role overview

The two successful candidates will report to the Head of Inside Sales (& Head of Global Business Development) and will enjoy working in a fast-moving, dynamic global agency environment and be comfortable handling a variety of clients, projects and topics. You will excel at building rapport with top executives, typically senior marketing professionals at leading B2B organisations. 

The role requires excellent outbound calling (and a working knowledge of a wide range of sales engagement techniques, including social selling). The ability to communicate Longitude’s offering quickly and effectively, credibly and in a trusted way is absolutely essential. You will have the tenacity, drive and commercial insight required to grow our business with some of the World’s biggest companies.

Key requirements

  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through mix of marketing-qualified leads follow-up and outbound calls and emails to target companies and prospects.
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements (against our qualification templates).
  • Routing qualified opportunities (meetings and scheduled calls) to the appropriate sales executives (BDs, Commercial Director, Founder) for further development and closure.
  • Developing new relationships and opening up profitable business opportunities .
  • Taking responsibility for ensuring high levels of client service and satisfaction within your key accounts and prospects.
  • Supporting the management of projects across all stages of development, with a focus on meeting the clients’ marketing objectives.
  • Working with senior sales team on pitches and proposals across new business opportunities.
  • Close sales (up to £50k approx in value) and achieve monthly quotas on qualified first sales interactions (QFSIs).
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest.
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory.
  • Perform effective Longitude creds deck and product presentations to senior level prospects.

Skills and experience: 

  • A minimum of 1-2 years B2B sales experience, ideally working with clients across Financial Service, Professional Services, technology and industrials sectors (as above), or other relevant role with directly transferable skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of outbound-calling with clients in areas such as publishing, research or content marketing, or similar.
  • Confidence to call, engage and arrange meetings with senior executives in large B2B organisations to pitch the Longitude value proposition and discuss their needs.
  • Proven track record of contributing personally to arranging meetings and/or scheduled calls leading to substantial revenue growth.
  • Confidence to assist and present our solutions and ideas to executives in pitches and meetings.
  • Experience in a relevant area such as thought leadership, content marketing or B2B publishing.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
  • A strong ideas person, with the ability to think creatively and innovatively.
  • An awareness of the changing B2B marketing landscape and the growing role that thought leadership content plays within this.
  • Proficient in presenting over web-based platforms (Google Meet or equivalent).
  • Experience working with or a similar CRM.
  • A second language from a European country (Spanish, German etc.) would be desirable.
  • Organised, detail-orientated, self directed, highly energetic, professional and adaptable
