Overview of the role and key requirements

Longitude is hiring an account strategist to develop innovative thought leadership solutions for our blue-chip clients. This is a new role that will appeal to anyone with a strong agency and strategy background, particularly in B2B. The successful candidate would collaborate with other colleagues in editorial and commercial to help develop and pitch successful proposals and solutions for our clients.

The primary focus of this role would be to

• Work closely with our editorial and commercial teams to develop compelling proposals and solutions for clients
• Co-develop client growth strategies with our commercial team and help to identify business opportunities
• Collaborate closely with the Financial Times commercial teams to qualify and respond to agency briefs
• Create and present winning pitches to agencies and clients
• Provide a link between our commercial and delivery teams to ensure seamless handover once projects are
sold, and a clear understanding of client objectives
• Communicate Longitude’s differentiating factors to clients and prospects
• Manage and juggle resources across the commercial and editorial teams to ensure the right amount of
focus is given to the right opportunities
• Develop and own best practice in proposal writing and collaboration across teams

Your key skills and experience

• Writing and developing winning client proposals
• Experience of working in a B2B agency environment
• Developing, implementing and measuring the performance of content or thought leadership strategies
• Pitching and presenting to clients at the highest level
• Excellent communication skills both written and spoken
• A deep understanding of the B2B marketing environment
• An eye for design and a passion for great creative work
• Curiosity and a willingness to learn
• The ability to forge strong new relationships both internally and externally
